Name:
Remi
Nicknames:
Skull Kid, obviously. Though I'm not suggesting that he's 'the' Skull Kid found in Twilight Princess, just a Skull Kid. All Skull Kids seem to be just called "Skull Kid". Kind of like calling a monkey "Monkey".
Age:
Seemingly 12 in both mind and body, but chronologically, much older (think centuries), but never ages. I see the Skull Kids as being like Kokiri (specially since they were once Kokiri), in being ageless, 'semi-immortal' in a way, that they can't die of old age because they don't age to begin with, but every other method of death still being fair game. And since I don't know when it was originally that the Deku Tree created the Kokiri, I can't tell you when he was first brought into being, but he most likely was at the same time as the rest of them.
Species:
Skull Kid (formerly Kokiri, this based on the things I've read that say that Skull Kids are Kokiri that become lost in the Lost Forest)
Gender:
Male
Alignment:
Chaotic Neutral
Type:
Speed
Size:
4'2''
Build:
Very skinny, not much meat on his bones at all. One could say almost skeletal.
IQ:
This depends. On scale with an adult, he's got a low intelligence (like 70-80 range). However, he's perfectly average intelligence wise if you keep in mind that he's basically 12 years old in mind and body.
Birth Place:
Kokiri Forest (Deku Tree)
Residence:
Sacred Grove (Previously known as the Lost Forest)
Occupation:
Being a nuisance?
Stats:
Physical: 6
Mental: 5
Luck: 10
Physical Abilities:
Very, very agile and acrobatic, like some kind of monkey or ninja. Or ninja monkey.
And swift to boot, though much better at quick 'bursts' of speed rather then drawn out prolonged running.
(The following is based off what I've seen the TP Skull Kid too) Can also teleport short distances in a burst of leaves. (And to apply limitation to prevent this ability from being over used...) However, this can only be used in the Sacred Grove. Away from the forest he looses much of his magic.
Having become more animal-like from his transformation, his senses are more highly honed then that of any Kokiri, mostly his sense of scent and hearing.
Learned Abilities:
Can play the flute, but his musical abilities are limited to that. Absolutely tone deaf in singing, for instance. Can do a funny jig, though.
Knows his way around the forest and how to survive in the wilderness, due to being there so long.
He's also extremely good at hiding when he doesn't wish to be seen. In the Sacred Grove, this ability seems to be honed to the point where he's able to make himself nearly invisible to the naked eye (but not, however, to scent or any other methods of finding someone).
Weaknesses:
Can't swim (just never learned how to), and when away from the Sacred Grove is significantly weakened. Besides that, just generally isn't very physically strong or durable. Can, despite all the agility and speed he'd gained from his transformation, be clumsy at times (as he used to be when he was a Kokiri)- especially when out of his element.
Mentally, as mentioned above, has the cognitive skills of a 12 year old, so can be more easily manipulated then would be the average adult.
Hobbies & Talents:
Remi enjoys playing pranks on others, ranging from harmless to slightly less harmless in degree.
He's also quite adept at playing the flute, as mentioned in learned abilities. His flute, it should be mentioned, also functions as a peashooter which he's also quite adept at using (despite the fact that such a duel purpose on any 'real' item would render it useless in both uses, but this is fantasy, so .
Personality:
Like most other Skull Kids, Remi is extremely apprehensive of adults, instead preferring the company of children or animals, who he feels he shares more of a connection with. It's hard to say if he's simply afraid or angry at adults, really, but when they're around his usual reaction is simply to hide, though sometimes, if they don't intimidate him too greatly, he may work up the courage to play tricks or otherwise pick on them.
Remi very much enjoys playing pranks and games, and, whenever possible, engages in such with whoever is near, to a point where it may be annoying to others. It's possibly that he does this because he's lonely and desperate for companionship, but no one can really say for sure.
Though he doesn't remember where he's come from, or who he once was, sometimes a brief flash of a memory will cross his mind, often causing him to become rather depressed in reaction. Because of this, he usually tries to repress all thought and wondering of who he once was or may of been, but sometimes he can't hide the fact he's not entirely happy with what he's become.
Likes:
Children and animals, the forest and the sounds it creates, songs (as long as they're 'happy' ones), dance, games of all sorts, practical jokes, festivals (specially ones with lots of costumes), fairies, having friends (as of which, at the moment, he has none), tall trees perfect for climbing, the colour orange
Dislikes:
Adults, seriousness, leaving the Sacred Grove (it weakens him and makes him feel ill), memories (his own and others speaking of theirs), the very idea of growing up, monsters, cold nights (with no home to go to, these are extremely troublesome and uncomfortable, flat treeless plains, ghosts, water deeper then knee level, formal clothing, splinters, wolfos (to the point where he has a phobia of them, a wolf's howl will make him freeze up)
Body Colours:
Still working on a design. Skin colour is probably going to be a dark brown or olive green, clothing will be green, brown, and maybe a bit orange (generally a foresty, leafy motif), eyes will of course be bright yellow/orange/red.
Appearance:
Now with 100% less awkward rotation! And colour! And other stuff!
Clothing:
See above.
History:
Before his transformation into a Skull Kid, Remi was an average Kokiri with somewhat droopy ears, always seen in the traditional green tunic and hat, and always with his fairy companion, Poki, by his side.
However, unlike the other Kokiri, he was embarressingly clumsy, a trait that some of the other Kokiri delighted at picking at. It was also his clumsiness that brought him to his current situation.
A annual festival in honor of the Deku tree had been under preparation, and Remi and a few others had been charged with gathering food (berries, nuts, and the like) especially for the festival from the surrounding woods. Not wanting to be outdone by the others, Remi seeked to find the rarest and most sought after berries in the forest- however, the bushes that bared these berries were often found along the border of the Kokiri and Lost Forest. Regardless, in desire to impress the others and have them think more of him than a bumbling fool, he went regardless of the danger and the warnings his fairy gave him. And, at first, it seemed that his gamble paid off, as he easily packed an entire basket full of a large harvest of ripe berries. Maybe too many berries, actually, as the basket now weighed him down. But with glee in his heart and thinking that surely this act would impress the others, he trudged homeward with a elated heart. Thinking only of the reaction of the others once he reached home, he didn't notice the odd furry object lying across the path until after he had tripped over it and fell, the heavy basket spilling it's contents everywhere. As he struggled to get back to his feet and manage the basket, the furry obstruction revealed itself to belong to a rather large, black wolfos that had been sleeping in the bush, it's long furry tail having been draped across the path until Remi had so very rudely stepped and fell over it. Terrified by the angry, ravenous beast, Remi dropped the basket and ran off, but was quickly pursued by the wolfos. Due to his natural clumsiness, he would of easily been caught, mauled, and most likely eaten by the beast had his fairy not intervened, distracting the monster and leading it away while Remi continued his escape, eventually climbing up a tree for safety.
For a long time he sat up in the tree, trying to regain his bearings. However, he soon realized that he was in a part of the forest he'd never been in before, and then later still realized that it wasn't even part of the Kokiri Forest, but rather a section of the Lost Forest. Remembering the rumors of what happened to those that became lost in this forest, Remi called for his companion to lead him home, but the fairy never came. Afraid of what may of happened to Poki, and what may happen to him if he stayed any longer, he left the safety of the tree to find his way out.
However, he never found his way home, instead finding himself wandering past the same landmarks over and over, despite trying different paths each time. As he panicked and searched the woods, he lost track of time, not noticing the sun setting and rising, days passing and turning into weeks. He didn't even seem to notice that he was slowly changing as he searched, slowly forgetting where he'd been, who was, or what exactly it was he was trying to do as he walking these same forest paths everyday. And when his skin darkened and his features twisted, he forgot that he even had been a Kokiri, for he certainly no longer resembled one.
Forgetting why he even had been trying to escape the forest, he instead settled into his new life. However, a few straggling fragments of memories remained, keeping him from being completely happy- such as those of the Great Deku Tree. Greatly missing the tree that had originally created him, he went about finding a replacement tree, naming several of the larger trees in the forest (with such names as Maku, Bega, and Boko). But even that didn't satisfy him. Frustrated by his remaining memories, he sought to forget them in favor of the bliss that came from ignorance.
And thus, this is how he's come to his current state.
Anything else?
:B Duruurrr.
Oh, also, I hope you don't mind me saying that lost Kokiri = become Skull Kids, since most things I've read say that as well (that, or children in general become Skull Kids). However, things also say that lost hylians become Stalfos, so...
